Open Hours — Free Classes and Public Repair Shop Hours

In addition to providing 24-hour/7-day workshop access for co-op members, the Bike Project now offers staffed
shop hours to non-members and members alike, three days a week, with a class held every Sunday. Come on by and check out the tools and work stands you can use to fix your own bike, tour our massive collection of parts, spares, and used bikes, plus meet friendly Bike Project folks who can provide help and advice!
Dates: Every Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Feb. 14, 2008 – June 15, 2008.
Hours: Open to: Everyone! Non-members welcome. All Sunday classes/workshops are free and open to the public. Your first two non-Sunday workshop visits are also free. (Then see our membership page to learn how to join the Bike Project co-op.)
Location: 202 S. Broadway, Room 24, Urbana, IL  (corner of Elm and Broadway)
       This is the post office building by Lincoln Square, which now houses the Independent Media Center.
       Enter from "Cherry Alley", which is on the south side of the building; go down the outside stairs to the lower level.

Free, Weekly Class: Bike Repair / Bike Maintenance

Dates: Every Sunday, Feb. 11, 2008 – June 15, 2008
Time: 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Location: 202 S. Broadway, Room 24, Urbana, IL
Weekly focus: see the
class schedule for the bike part / repair technique of the week.
Open to: Everyone. All ages, all levels of experience. Non-co-op-members welcome.
Price: Free, free, free!

Each Free Weekly Class will cover a different aspect of basic bicycle mechanics (e.g.: seats, spokes, bottom brackets), and provide time for beginner/frequently-asked questions ("How do I change a tire?") while giving intermediate students extra hands-on training in that weeks' topic.
